Absolva fronted by Chris Appleton (guitars/vocals) accompanied by his Brother Luke on Rhythm Guitars (bass with Iced Earth), which results in the delightful impact of twin harmony guitars, they are joined by Martin McNee on drums and Karl Schramm on bass, who plays with an undeniable nod to his hero Steve Harris.
The band have released six studio albums and one live album since 2012, which is pretty prolific, while their music should definitely be appreciated and loved by Maiden fans, their close relationship with Blaze Bayley further enhances that connection.
The band have a new album "Justice" inspired by the movie Tombstone and features some amazing guest vocalists, including Ronnie Romero, Blaze Bayley , Stu Block and David Marcelis. Set for release on 16th May.

Tailgunner Heavy Metal band that took four years in the planning, based in 5 cities, 3 nationalities, to make up this band that hit the ground at full speed in January of this year. They are made up of Craig Cairns on Vocals, Zach Salvini and Patrick ven der Vollering on guitars, Thomas Hewson on Bass and Sam Caldwell on drums. Their debut EP Crashdive was released on 19th June. For me one of the most exciting bands of 2022, probably due to the impact they have made right from the off.

Tantrum The band hail from Scotland formed in 2015 and released their debut album in December of 2018. The recordings include the twin guitars of Stoo Condie and Steve Waddell (who left the band during the pandemic to concentrate on his solo project Oath) he has been replaced by Baz Fitzsimmons, and joins Billy Angus on drums, Ritchie Davison on Bass and Mark Reid on vocals, a new album is expected towards the end of this year. They have an album plus a brand new EP which in my opinion is epic!! The Ep Worlds End was released at the End of May and very much worth a listen.
