Raider
Raider five piece rock band from South Wales, consisting of Mike Platt on Vocals (known by viewers of the Voice for his amazing rendition of Show Me Heaven, which I believe earnt him a four chair turn), Mr Johnny “The Fingers” Winter on Bass, James Went on Lead Guitar, Aled Evans on Keys, Marc Campbell on Rhythm Guitar and Stephen Symmonds on Drums. They have released an EP, Tokyo in 2020 which left us Begging For More… (see what I did there!!) and then in June of this year they released their debut album Runaway, initially digitally in June and more recently it is out on CD and available via their website/facebook page, and in Cardiff HMV, plus now in Japan, Spain and Germany. I have seen these guys live and they rock live, Mike’s vocals are hair raising off the scale, check out their socials here…

Dave Friday Band
After years of fronting hard rock bands out of the Bay area, Dave Friday decided it was time to put his own band together that’s influenced by the music of artists like Mr Big, Tesla, Richie Kotzen and Y&T, formed in 2017, he has released two albums, his debut Life Imitating Art released in 2017, followed by 2020’s Actions That Have Consequences, with a different line up, this band finally hit the road in July 2021 and consist of Dave Friday on Guitars and Vocals, David Chapman on Guitars and Backing Vocals, Jimmy Wells on drums and Backing vocals and Michael Spencer on Bass and Backing vocals.

Dirty Honey
This LA based band was probably one of the most exciting bands to emerge in 2019 (although formed in 2017) their self titled debut EP from which this track reached number 3 in the US Mainstream Rock chart had us wanting to know more about this band. They are Marc Labelle on Vocals, Guitarist John Notto, Bassist Justin Smolian and drummer Corey Coverstone. They followed their EP with the self titled debut album in 2021, which will go down as one of the classics of the future.

Wicked Smile
We are going down under for the final band in this feature, again friends of the show, we have championed their music since almost day one, the Melbourne five piece are made up of Danny Cecati on vocals and hair!!, Steve Janevski (The Radio Sun) and Dave Graham on guitars, Glen Cav on Bass and Jason Tyro. Following 4 singles the band released their debut album Wait For The Night in October 2021. They just enjoyed a very successful first tour of the UK.
